An outcome of the Jubilee Library Bookmarks project 2006. The poem is composed from titles of books where the photos were hidden, and the captions visitors gave to the photos they found. It is printed in a book along with 46 of Rachel’s photos for the Jubilee Library’s Rare Books Collection.

the colour of water

the colour of water

water, a turbulent history

summer of love, unsurfed surf,

kiss me

air and water,

we’re all sustained by our environment

this book will save your life

rockfalls, rivermouths and ponds

reflected islands

floating

down to a soundless sea

ring-a-ding floaty things

the web of delight

loose ends, bridges, inter-nets

the cauldron of  life, the highest tide

this book will save your life.
